ROMIO ("we", "us") is a social and workspace app. This policy explains what
we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using ROMIO on the web or the
Android app, you agree to this policy.
Who runs ROMIO
ROMIO is operated by the ROMIO team. For any privacy question or request,
contact us at info@lumenmarketingusa.com.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, a username, and display name, created when you sign up.
- Profile content — anything you choose to add: photo, bio, links, phone number, and theme.
- Content you create — posts, comments, chat messages, files you upload, workspaces, calendar events, reminders, and notes.
- Device & notification data — if you enable notifications, a push token for your device, and your time zone (so reminders arrive at the right local time).
- Basic technical data — information your browser or device sends automatically, such as approximate activity times used to show online/offline status.
How we use your information
- To provide the core app: authentication, your feed, chat, workspaces, and files.
- To deliver reminders and notifications you set up, by push and (optionally) email.
- To operate accounts, including administration, moderation, and abuse prevention.
- To determine Pro status for accounts that have upgraded.
We do not sell your personal information.
Services we use (sub-processors)
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging) — stores your account and content and delivers push notifications. See Google's privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosts our backend that sends reminder emails and push notifications.
- Gumroad — processes Pro subscription payments made on our website. Payment details are handled by Gumroad, not by us.
- An email provider is used to send reminder emails if you enable them.
Encrypted messages
ROMIO lets Pro users send end-to-end encrypted chat messages using a key
you set. We cannot read those messages and cannot recover them if you lose the
key.
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your
account (see below), we delete your profile and account data. Some content you
shared into others' workspaces or conversations may remain visible to them,
and backups or logs may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your ROMIO account and its data at any time:
Deleting your account removes your profile, posts, messages you own,
workspaces you own, files, reminders, and notification tokens.
Children
ROMIO is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
information from them.
Security
We use industry-standard providers and access rules to protect your data.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect
your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last
updated" date above.
